Healthy Birthday Cake Recipe for your little one’s celebration.

For birthdays, the teachers and students of InBloom get together and bake a special cake for our birthday girl or boy. We use nutritious and wholesome ingredients, and our children love it! You can try this recipe too..

Eating healthy is a choice we try to make everyday for our toddlers as each meal counts in their overall development.

Even on days of celebration at InBloom, we prepare foods made with wholesome and natural ingredients.

We try to use healthier ingredients such as ragi flour instead of plain white flour, and jaggery instead of sugar. So while the calories may remain the same, the quality of those calories varies significantly.

White flour and sugar add only fat to our diets, while ragi and jaggery have long lasting benefits. Ragi is power packed with nutrients and adds fibre to our diets, while jaggery has precious antioxidants. So lets get started.

Delicious & Nutritional Ragi Birthday Cake

1 cup ragi flour

½ cup whole wheat flour

½ tsp baking powder

½ tsp baking soda

1 ½ cups mashed banana (papaya / mango) or grated apple / carrot

½ cup melted butter / ghee

  2. Beat the butter and jaggery liquid.

  3. Whisk the fruit into the butter & jaggery mixture.

  4. Stir in the ragi mixture and mix it well.
